By incorporating native plants, drought-resistant landscaping, public art, and functional irrigation systems, the project is designed to create lasting beauty while supporting long-term sustainability. These improvements are designed to strengthen community identity, support local economic activity, and create corridors that people feel proud of. This is your community, and your insight matters.
Meaningful transformation starts with community voices leading the way. On April 2, we had the opportunity to come together in person for a community engagement event, where residents and community members shared ideas, connected over shared experiences, and helped lay the groundwork for what this project can become. If you were unable to attend, there is still an opportunity for your voice to be part of the conversation through our online community survey and mapping tool.
We continue to seek your input on topics from adding street trees, enhancing pedestrian lighting, introducing artistic crosswalks, and creating welcoming gateways.
