The newly formed 7-member Board of Directors for the Hiram Clarke and Fort Bend Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ #25) convened their landmark inaugural meeting on November 7th at the Hiram Clarke Multi-Service Center.
Council Member Larry Green delivered the official swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed Board. The Board of Directors is comprised of the following:
- Rosemary Capetillo, Position 1
- Theadore Andrews, Position 2, designated as Chair
- George Anderson, Position 3
- Linda Scurlock, Position 4
- Homer Clark, Position 5
- Kevin Riles, Position 6
- Horace Allison, Position 7
All confirmed Board members will serve staggered terms expiring in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
- Ms. Capetillo is a seasoned banking professional;
- Mr. Andrews, appointed TIRZ Chair, is a practicing attorney;
- Mr. Anderson is an accomplished church administrator;
- Ms. Scurlock is a distinguished community leader;
- Mr. Clark is a certified CPA accountant;
- Mr. Riles is an established real estate broker; and
- Mr. Allison is a skilled architect and housing professional
“Overall, the TIRZ Board of Directors consists of a competent group of individuals whose professional skill sets will add leadership value toward implementing the TIRZ project plan,” states Council Member Green.
