District Gateways (Main@Five Intersections) | Full Transparency
Signature underpass lighting, art, landscape and destination marquees. Gateways at Fondren, Hillcroft, Chimney Rock, S Post Oak, and Hiram Clarke. Project to be done in phases.
The project that put this zone on the national map — Five major intersections along US 90A transformed with multicolored LED lighting, pedestrian safety improvements, wayfinding graphics and public art. A $1.1 million tri-party investment with TIRZ 9 and the 5 Corners Improvement District — and one of only three Houston projects honored at the 2024 ACEC National Engineering Excellence Awards in Washington, D.C.
